Robots, Fabrication

Re-imagined

Form Found Design has developed new robotic techniques for casting new forms for industrial design and construction.

Pre-Frame

Construction

Form Found Design is exploring new collaborations to deliver rapid, affordable housing to the job site.

Cytocast Pavilion

This pavilion uses High-Strength Concrete and robots to create a landmark and gateway in a local shopping mall.

MARS Pavilion

This pavilion is the first robotically-fabricated concrete structure in Southern California.

Form Found Facade

This paper considered the possibility of designing a self-supporting facade system derived from the Fabric Forms Project.

Fabric Forms

Casting concrete is a labor-intensive, repetitive process. Fabric Forms uses the precision of robots and the flexibility of fabric to create a new way of casting new forms. This project became the impetus for a new digital-to-physical workflow in the construction industry.
